Then, follow up with the fun activities below!

Activity – Hungry

What You Need

Baby dolls or stuffed animals; plastic bowls; spoons; and food

What You Do

Encourage the children to feed the dolls or stuffed animals with the bowls, spoons, and food.

What You Say

Before the Activity: “We have some very hungry babies/animals!” (Point.)
During the Activity: “Let’s work together to feed them! We have bowls, spoons, and food.”
After the Activity: “Great job! You fed the babies/animals! In our story, God had a plan for Joseph to help feed a lot of people. What did Joseph save up to help feed the people? (Pause.) Yes. Joseph saved the grain.
God had a plan for Joseph to do something good—share food with others. It was a very good plan! Tell me, Who has a plan for you? God has a plan for me.”

Prayer

“Dear God, thank You for (child’s name). Thank You for all of the good things You have planned for them to do. Help us look for good things to do, even when bad things happen. We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
