Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What can I expect?

A. A group of friendly people to welcome you and a great service that usually includes a time of collective and open worship through music and song, a message from one of our pastoral team, and a time to catch up with others after the service. We share communion on the 3rd Sunday of each month.

Q. Where can I park?

A. There is a large car park at the rear of the church and street parking is also available on Ambler Ave and Glengarry Road.  There are reserved parking spaces for low mobility/disabled. Please be aware that the layout of the car park has recently been modified for construction work.

Q. What are facilities like for the Disabled/low mobility ?

A. Due to construction work, the Church has wheelchair access only from the front of the building.  In the auditorium itself, there is a large central aisle with spaces available for wheelchairs at the front of the church or along the back row on the right hand side of the auditorium.  Unfortunately, accessible toilets will not be available until the construction work is complete in November 2017.

Q. What facilities/services do provide for children?

A. There are a number of different ways that GEBC caters for children aged 0-10. The Olive Tree is for 0 – 2 years and is held in the creche next door to the main auditorium. It is a place where parents feel relaxed and chat to other caregivers, and the children are given space to explore the toys, meet friends, and be nurtured by the wider Glen Eden Baptist community. The Ark is for Pre-school children and is held in the Kindergarten building across the car park to the left. This is a place where pre-schoolers can come along and feel loved in a safe environment. Each Sunday we have a routine of morning tea, mat-time, craft activities, and free play, with fantastic adult supervision.  KidZone is for 5 – 10 year olds and is held in the classroom at the onsite Training and Education Centre. Each week we have dancing and singing,  room for children to ask the big questions, and a fun activity. The team who run these programmes are passionate about empowering this age group to reach their full potential.

Q. Do you offer refreshments after the service?

A. Yes! We have complimentary tea and coffee after the 9:30am service and on most Sunday‚Äôs you can purchase espresso coffee!
