Our Team


Gary is an Auckland boy, originally from the Northshore but now considered to be a real Westie.  Before coming to Glen Eden Gary had a background in sport, corporate and ministry work.  Gary is a fully qualified Professional Golfer with over twenty-five years’ experience in self-employment and business management.  Gary also has extensive experience in event management to the community and the corporate market.

Gary’s ministry experience commenced in 1987 serving two years at Holy Trinity Church as Youth Pastor, as well as 15 years as Associate Pastor at Titirangi Baptist Church.  Gary finished after eight years as the National Team Leader for Baptist Youth Ministries before accepting the call to come to Glen Eden as Senior Pastor.  Gary has done theological study at Trinity College, Laidlaw and Carey Baptist College.  

Gary is married to Sarah and they have been blessed with four wonderful boys – Tom, Fraser, Ben and Harry. 

GlennASSOCIATE PASTOR, Glenn Melville

Glenn is a confirmed Westie, which is simply the best place to live in Auckland! He is married to Kelly and they have three amazing girls. Glenn had a career in sales and marketing in the grocery industry before receiving the call to go to Bible College. In 2007 Glenn completed a Masters in Theology from Laidlaw College. He grew up at Glen Eden Baptist and is proud to be on the pastoral team at his home church.

DanielYOUTH PASTOR, Daniel Marshall

Daniel is a born and raised Auckland boy. He is married to Lisa and they have two beautiful children. Before taking the plunge into Full-Time Youth Ministry Daniel worked for 14 in his family business, Drum City. Dan is a keen musician and drummer and he also enjoys mountain biking (and he is really good at Call of Duty). Daniel has completed his diploma of Youth Ministries at Carey Baptist College where he continues to study towards his Bachelors of Theology.



Juliet is a born and bred Westie, married to Mark, with three gorgeous daughters, Hannah, Katherine and Laura. In her spare time she enjoys anything arty, and spending time with her family at the local beaches and along the many bush walks that surround the family’s Titirangi home. Juliet completed a Master of Science degree at the University of Auckland before beginning a career in sales and marketing in the fitness industry. After starting their family, Juliet felt the call toward children’s ministry and began volunteering at GEBC in the pre-school program. She feels deeply humbled and privileged to be part of the GEBC community and to be able to further her passion for Children’s ministry by serving in this area.

Judy1ADMINISTRATOR, Judy Attwood

Judy was born in the Solomon Islands to missionary parents and spent her formative years there before returning to NZ to complete her secondary schooling.  Judy has a 3 year Bible College Diploma from the Bible College of NZ (now Laidlaw College) and previously served for 8 years as Church Administrator for another church, in a part time capacity while continuing to work in banking. She is keen to serve her local church and is pleased to have the opportunity to serve as part of the community at GEBC.  She and her husband Trevor live in West Auckland and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of living out west, and they also love living close enough to Eden Park to be able to support the Blues and the All Blacks when they are playing in town.


Although born in Putaruru, Jenny has lived in West Auckland all her married life. Jenny and her husband George have three adult children and eight delightful grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with family, cake decorating, reading, knitting and walking. Her passion is to become increasingly involved in what God is doing in and through GEBC, therefore she considers it a huge privilege to serve in her role as Receptionist for her home Church.


Having lived in Titirangi all of her life, Lisa loves the sense of space, peace and community that can be experienced in West Auckland.  Married to Mark with adult children, Lisa values time spent time with family and friends, and enjoys travelling, reading and baking when she can find time.

Over 30 years ago Lisa was part of the small beginnings of the community services based out of GEBC, now CEO of VisionWest Community Trust, Lisa is committed to seeing the Church and Trust working together to impact our community in a  real and practical way to see the vision of ‘transformed lives, healthy communities’ worked out in the community of West Auckland.  Lisa is blessed to work together with community, local Church groups and faith based organisations, NGOs and Peak Bodies, local and central government officials with the vision of seeing transformation in areas of social justice such as poverty, unemployment, homelessness and marginalization both in West Auckland and New Zealand.
